Why We Love This Coffee

For months, I kept looking for a coffee like this.

I wanted something with the richness and fruit-forward sweetness Ethiopia is known for, but without the overly fermented or funky character that can sometimes come with naturally processed coffees. I cupped coffee after coffee, hoping to find one that struck that balance.

Then I cupped this coffee.

From the very first sip, I knew it belonged in the Brothers lineup. Rich notes of mango, dark honey, and blueberry come together in a coffee that's vibrant, syrupy, and incredibly sweet while remaining clean and approachable.

Part of the reason we found it is because of our friends at Swift Coffee. We've worked with them before and have always admired the care they put into sourcing exceptional coffees and building long-term relationships with the producers they work alongside.

One of those producers is Dinkalem Ademe, whose farm sits in Ethiopia's Keffa region. Swift has partnered with Dinkalem since 2017, and his commitment to quality, stewardship, and his local community is part of what makes coffees like this possible.

This is exactly the kind of coffee we hoped we'd find—and we're grateful we did.

How We Brew It

This coffee shines when brewed to highlight its syrupy body and vibrant fruit. We prefer a balanced extraction that lets its sweetness take center stage while bringing out notes of mango, dark honey, and blueberry.

Brewing Tip

If the cup tastes a little tart, grind slightly finer to bring out more sweetness. If it tastes bitter or leaves a drying finish, grind a little coarser. When it's dialed in, you should find a syrupy cup full of mango, dark honey, and blueberry.
