Why We Love This Coffee

Some of my earliest coffee memories are sitting with my dad and my brother, sipping cups loaded with cream and sugar. I probably loved the sweetness more than the coffee back then, but I loved the moment even more. Those simple cups became sweet memories of being together.

First Pick was created with that feeling in mind. Its rich cocoa, buttery toffee, and toasted pecan notes are familiar and comforting—the kind of flavors that remind us why so many people fell in love with coffee in the first place. It has enough depth to take cream beautifully, but it is smooth and naturally sweet enough to enjoy black.

To create that profile, we paired two coffees that complement each other naturally. The Brazil contributes a full body with cocoa and roasted-nut sweetness, while the Guatemala brings a clean, caramelized sweetness that reminds us of toffee. Together, they make a dependable cup that feels special without ever feeling complicated.

The name First Pick reflects both where coffee began for us and the role we hope this blend plays for you. It is the bag we reach for when family gathers, friends stop by, or a full pot needs to please everyone. Familiar, generous, and easy to share—we hope it becomes your first pick, too.

How We Brew It

First Pick was designed to be an easy-drinking, everyday coffee that tastes great no matter how you brew it. Its rich sweetness and full body make it especially forgiving across a wide range of brew methods.

Brewing Tip

If your cup tastes a little too heavy, use a slightly coarser grind. If you'd like a little more richness and sweetness, grind a touch finer. First Pick is designed to produce a comforting cup that's great on it's own and equally excellent with creamer.
